What unites these papers in this workshop session are the different methodological approaches that they take to analyze video and text from the C-SPAN Video Library.  From building theories of rhetoric in congressional hearings, to textual analysis of congressional debate on agriculture issues over 50 years, to analysis of large datasets of congressional speeches with the Moral Foundations Dictionary, each of these participants will outline their approach to their data and analysis.
