Bucy is the past editor of Politics and the Life Sciences, an interdisciplinary journal published by Cambridge University Press. He has held visiting research appointments at the London School of Economics and Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford and is an honorary fellow of the Mass Communication Research Center (MCRC) at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
